G'day OSF_Managers,
I'm running ISC dhcp-2.0beta1-patchlevel6 on two Alpha 500au workstations,
running DU4.0D, with 2x PCI 10/100mbps ethernet cards (DECchip 21143:
Revision: 3.0). When the "dhcpd" server is started the network interfaces
on the the DEC's go "off-air" for about 20-30 seconds and then come good,
except for networking the machines operate fine during this period. The
machines are patched into Cisco Catylst 5500 switches.
Another oddity I noticed with the ISC dhcpd, when starting up it reports
the last byte of the MAC address incorrectly as always being "74". Can
anyone verify this for me?
