NSR/Advfs attribute error

Hi,

We are in the process of upgrading our 3 member cluster
from 3.2g to 4.0a. One member of the cluster is curently
at 4.0a while the other 2 members are still at 3.2g.

As we upgrade, we are also converting the /usr partition on
each system disk to advfs (from ufs). We accomplish this by
adding a new physical disk, formatting the new disk g partition
as advfs and then copying (using vdump and vrestore)
the root and usr file systems to the new disk. This seems to
work just fine. (note that the vdump & vrestore is done
in single user mode)

The one problem we have found is that when backups
are performed by the NSR server at night, the backup of the
newly upgraded 4.0a system (the NSR server is still at 3.2g
running NSR 4.2b) fails with the following error message:

dsalph15.ias.kodak.com:/usr save: AdvFS attributes could not be saved.

I noticed a similar problem in the OSF Managers database on
the web server...but there was no summary.

Thanks for your help.

Bob
