If think the problem is that the journal is a little
too big......Now they are making it a little more compaq.

Subject: The end of Digital Technical Journal

It is a sad day, the DTJ web page,

http://www.digital.com/DTJ

announces the last issue of DTJ. Well, it was an excellent publication
with lots on insight into high-tech research in Digital. I have
definitely steered some management decisions on hardware thanks to
articles published there and am very sad to see the end of it.

If anyone non-techie at Compaq reads this: instead of publishing
demented press-releseas raving about 666 permissions on the floppy
device spend your money on something useful like DTJ. It isn't just a
techie journal and remember that techies *do* have a say on the kit
which is bought.

Thanks are due to all the DEC people who wrote in it, including some
of the frequent "helpers" on this mailing list.

Arrigo
