Is 4.0e REQUIRED for EV6?

Greeting Folks,
    We will be upgrading our server to the EV6 chips, the documen-
        tation does not clearly say whether DU V4.0e is required?
        We currently run DU v4.0D + latest patches (the servers
        are the Digital AS8400).
