Hi Alpha Manager,

Just a little problem.

I have a client who has a DEC Alpha 2100 running DEC Unix 3.2 ( pretty
old!).

They currently have 256 Mb with 1 cpu. They want to install a second
CPU but when the machine is booted, the system panics. The point at
which it panics is the start of DECnet OSI, /sbin/rc3.d/S28.10netman -
this was done by removing the files from the start up directory then
rebooting. The machine started correctly. However, when the
S28.10netman was started manually, the system panic'd.

The answer from DEC was to install version 3.2b of DECnet.

My question is this. Can DECnet be upgraded without losing the
existing configuration settings, and can anyone tell me what CD it is
on. I have numerous but cannot identify which is correct.
