Many thanks to :

It looks like the manual on the Internet is wrong, so if
you want a service to start even when only one plex is
available, you must set this variable to ON, as the
script /var/ase/sbin/lsm_lv_action uses it.
My scenario has two cluster members sharing two disk
cabinets (15 disks each cabinet). Using LSM, one
cabinet is the mirror of the other one. Due to an
electrical failure, one server and one entire cabinet
crashed. ASE detected this event on the surviving
server, and tried to relocate the service, but it never
happened because ASE_PARTIAL_MIRRORING was
in default (OFF). I don't know why setting it to ON can
compromise data integrity, as LSM is supposed to take
care of that.
Thanks and regards
