I am trying to use the access control capabilities of TCP WRAPPERS with ssh
on a Digital Personal Workstation 500au. I know that I can use the
/etc/sshd_config file to allow/deny access on a hosts or user basis but I
thought it would be easier to do it from a single point. SSH offers
the --with-libwrap option during compilation that will use tcpd.h and
libwrap.a. I have done this but have been unable to restrict ssh access
through hosts.deny/hosts.allow. If anyone is currently doing this, please
consider the following:
Do I need to add an entry in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf?
What would these entries look like?
Am I trying to accomplish an impossible task?
Thanks,
Allen
