Kernel build problems

Hi,

I'm having some problems building the kernel on a Digital Unix 4.0D box
after installing patch kit 2. The dupatch to install patch_kit 2 went
quite well and I installed all the patches in the kit. However, when I
run doconfig I get linker errors stating that tsd_table_lockinfo,
tsd_init, and task_rq_wait_time are undefined.

I've read the man pages and tried building with only mandatory kernel
options, with all options, with the existing config file, etc... I've
also tried blowing away the /sys/<HOSTNAME> directory and letting
doconfig rebuild it. I also tried this after booting with the genvmunix
kernel.

I'm rather a newbie to Digital Unix and obviously I don't know why these
symbols are undefined or how to fix this... Any suggestions or pointers
to relevant documentation appreciated! I talked to the only person I
know at DEC and he suggested this list, so please help!
