"Peter J. Simpson" <psimpson_at_realmed.com>
for some good suggestions on things to try. This turned out to be an odd
one: it appears that the Compaq field service engineer had connected
a console terminal to the RAID box, started up the disk exerciser,
then disconnected the terminal before the tests completed. The drives
were waiting for an OK from the terminal, which was long gone. We ended up
reconnecting the terminal and reconfiguring everything (there were some
missteps on my part along the way that required this). Thanks again to the
responders, this list is terrific as always.

Hello gurus--
I'm trying to remove some preconfigured units from my SW box before I start
setting up RAID, and I'm getting an error (and a configuration option) that
has CSS stumped (for the moment). Disk configuration is currently all JBOD;
a portion is below:
HSZ70 > show disks
Name Type Port Targ Lun Used by
---------------------------------------------------------------------
DISK10000 disk 1 0 0 D0
DISK10100 disk 1 1 0 D1
DISK10200 disk 1 2 0 D2
etc.
When I try to remove container D0, I get
HSZ70 > delete unit d0
Error 9240: Cannot delete unit in maintenance mode
The configuration for this unit is
HSZ70 > show d0
LUN Uses
--------------------------------------------------------------
D0 DISK10000
