swap partition

Hi,

I have a partition on a disk labelled as swap in the fstype. I would like
to change this partition to a fstype 4.2BSD. I can't edit the disklabel
because the partition is automatically mounted as swap when the system
comes up. The partition is not mounted in /etc/fstab. I didn't setup this
arrangment and I don't understand why one would set it up this way.

The system runs DU4.0B
