  The solution is to use 'gv' instead of 'ghostview'. Location is

  One also needs Xaw3d to build it, which is available from ftp.x.org
under contrib/widgets/Xaw3d (I used the R6 version and it worked).
  'gv' does work on the 3D card, and it seems to be a nice package.
It's worth to try it out.
  As I found a replacement I haven't investigated ghostview any more so
it's still broken.
