hello,
I have a system that has been set up with raid 5 through the hsz50's.
There are 5 raid sets.
4 of the raid sets has 6 rz29b's. The other raid set has 6 rz1cb's.
When I mkfdmn,
say on the first raidset, I see all 6 disks light up when initializing,
so I know the system sees it as one
big disk.
My question is, how do I do the disklabel (advfs) on this so it isn't
the size of one rz29b, but have
the size of the 6 disks? For example: rz33c is 6 disks together as
best as I can see.
Do I also need a disktab entry for the rz1cb drives, or can I use the
rz29b size, as I think they are
the same size.
another question, through the hsz50, three hot spares have been created.
2 of the spares created
for raidsets 1-4 and one hotspare for raidset 5. Do I have to do
anything in the operating system
for this or is it all set as far as hotspare if a disk goes bad?
thanks,
Allan
