4 volumes in advfs domain RISKY?

I have a rapidly filling advfs file domain currently consisting of
3 4.6 Gig volumes. The man page says it is possible to have 250
volumes but to reduce the risk of a bad file making the whole
domain inaccessible to keep it at 3 or less.

I would like to go to 4 volumes but want to know what kind of risk
this is posing.

Does anyone have an advfs domain with more than 4 volume and if so
have you had any problems.
