Hi,

Haw can I change kernel parameter shmmax (maximum shared memory segment
size). It is posible to do this without rebilding kernel?

The answer is:
Add the following lines to the file /etc/sysconfigtab

ipc:
 shm-max = xxxxxxxxx

and then reboot. If you already have an ipc section in the syscnfigtab
file then just add this parameter line to the existing stanza.

Thanks to all who replied.
