Hi managers,

On our Alpha box (DU 4.0b) we have a TLZ09-DB (external) used to save
home directories. The tapes are DAT 90m. We use vdump with the syntax :
/sbin/vdump -0uq -CDN -f /dev/nrmt0h /home/user1
/sbin/vdump -0uq -CDN -f /dev/nrmt0h /home/user2
....etc

(/home is on Advfs, and for some reasons it is not possible to save the
global /home)

Pb : the total space to be saved is greater than 2 Go, so the vdump failed
for some directories.
Is it possible to compress more than that , or do we buy 120m tapes ?

Thanks in advance

Chris
