Last week or so I posted a question about networker not using the full
4gb of space of my tape.
Many thanks to those who have responded. Digital people said that
if the drive is "dirty" or errors out, networker will mark the backup
as full and ask for a new tape. I found out we had cleaned the tape
drive on the 5th of jan, so by the 9th it should have been fine.
It could have been that "tape" possibly. I couldn't find any errors
using uerf - but I'm newish at uerf so if someone knows of a
definite way to find them let me know.
Anyways, I didn't find much info on fixing this. The digital person
said just clean and use a new tape and that I couldn't reuse the old
tape and re-appended. Once it's marked full you have to recycle it/relabel
it to get it to work.
