Do you have a full Polycenter NSR license ?
The license that comes with Digital Unix is only
for a 'light' version with a lot of restrictions.

If you are using NetWorker SingleServer I believe you only can use one
device (but I am not sure). If you are using the network edition I
believe it is a license issue.

Sounds like you're using SingleServer, which only allows 1 drive.

I'm not certain of this, because I don't personally use NSR, but it may be
that to manage more than one local device, you need the extended license;do
you have the NSR server license, and do you have it registered on the
system where you are trying to manage multiple tapes? This is just a
guess, but it is based on experience with similar situations.

you probably don't have the right NSR Network Server licence either
installed or enabled. The NSR Single Server licence which comes bundled
with every Digital UNIX AlphaServer only allows for one tape device at a
time.

Sounds like your missing the DECNSR-NET-SVR license is missing or did
not load.
You all are right, I have to buy/load the DECNSR-NET-SVR.
So my station number is wery fast increasing, I'm looking
for a good tool to manage my backups. If I have anyway
to buy a software to do it, I'm not sure if NSR is the best tool.
Do you know about another soft who is supposed to backup properly and
easily my stations (remote backup + ufs + advfs ...) ??
