After many attempts to answer my dxadvfs problem - Jochen Ruckgaber had a
working solution for me.
THANK YOU - you are WONDERFUL! ! ! That did the trick. The node name had
changed on that node so the old nodename was in that file.

i had the same problem.
Try the following:
edit the file /var/opt/advfsd/socket/hosts.allow in which are the hostnames of
the
systems which can be manipulated by the dtadvfs.
Fill in a new line with the ip-number address of your system, for instance:
machine1
189.12.23.34
where 189.12.23.34 is the ip-address of machine1
