Hello,
I have a simple advfs filesystem. The drive is 4.3 GB and
is in its own advfs domain, which has one fileset which covers the
disk - very simple (no striping/mirroring/etc.).
We had some scsi problems recently which left that in
weird shape. Doing a simple du from the top dir, I get:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
# du
16 ./.tags
du: ./pkg/sas/src/SAS-6.10-TS018-AOSF-030895/V1_F17: Bad file number
du: ./pkg/sas/src/SAS-6.10-TS018-AOSF-050695/V1_F7: I/O error
16 ./pkg/sas/src
32 ./pkg/sas
du: ./pkg/nag: I/O error
1264 ./pkg-src/adm/src/digital_unix-products/cxx550/documentation
164 ./pkg-src/adm/src/digital_unix-products/cxx550/kit/instctrl
.
.
.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought advfs wasn't supposed to have these kinds of
problems. How can I fix it? Do I have to re-init the fileset and reload
the data? I have it all backed up, but I just want to know what to do
from now on when this happens. Nowhere in the advfs man page does it
mention any repair/recovery in anyway (utilities or otherwise). Did I
just miss something?
Thanks for any help.
