advfs

     Gurus,
     
     Just want to varify what I believe is correct.
     
     With advfs - if one has a file system composed of 4 volumes (each
     volume happens to be a whole disk [c partition]). If say disk number
     3 dies (i.e. volume number 3) - if I use advfs to add a 5th volume
     (disk 5) then remove volume 3 (disk 3) -
     
        Does advfs really that great that I don't lose any of my data? And
     is it really transparent to the user?
