Hello,

I have an Alpha 2100 with 2x 5/250 CPU's, 2x 512MB RAM and 1x 128MB RAM. The two 512MB are interleaved. When I boot it misses more than 512MB. I know the machine does not have all the latest firmware etc., but it is running stable.

Alpha boot: available memory from 0x21d96000 to 0x47ffe000
Digital UNIX V3.2C (Rev. 148); Tue Sep 24 12:54:54 MET DST 1996
physical memory = 1152.00 megabytes.
available memory = 610.50 megabytes.
using 2449 buffers containing 19.13 megabytes of memory
Master cpu at slot 0.
Firmware revision: 4.5
PALcode: OSF version 1.21
ibus0 at nexus
AlphaServer 2100 5/250
cpu 0 EV-5 4mb b-cache
cpu 1 EV-5 4mb b-cache

- Why does it not use all the memory?
- Can I update the firmware etc, to the latest version even when I am using this older version of UNIX?
