raid arrays

Hello again, Managers...

I have a 2100 with a SWXCR 3-channel RAID controller (RAID Array 200) that
currently has 1 RAID5 volume defined. I need to add another file system. I
have another StorageWorks Shelf and drives.

Here is my problem... it takes _many_ hours (on the order of 1 day) to
"Initialize" a RAID array on this controller and I can't afford to have this
particular machine down for anywhere near that long.

QUESTION:
I have another machine of similar configuration. Can I configure the RAID set
in the second machine, run the Initialize and then just pop the drives into
the destination machine? If that is not possible, is there _any_ way to add
another array to this machine without having the system down for an entire day?

Any insight or "gotchas" will be very appreciated.
