sync up passwd files on different machines

Hello Managers,

I have two machines in a cluster running enhanced security under 4.0D. I
want to have a common passwd file copied from one server to the other,
without running NIS. Can I just copy the passwd file or is there a
shadow passwd file and some edauth commands required ?

Any help will be appreciated.
