Hi All ,
I am replacing the disks on one of my machines (4100A V4.0b)
It has been suggested that I should get a bunch
of 4 Gb disks instead of a lesser amount of 9 Gb
disks as this would increase the I/O performance .
This would be used mainly for a number of databases
and comprise of between 80-100 Gb of storage .
Even though I am using striping , do you think having
more spindles would make that much of a difference .

P.S. I also use the ADVFS and LSM .

Thanking you ,
