Console hw tests for AlphaStation 255/233

 After having worked for more then a year flawlessly
 my AlphaStation 255/233 suddenly stops with
 a HALT intruction executed (halt code = 1) nearly
 once a day.
 (no panics,no uerf infos)

 The os is Digital UNIX V4.0 (Rev. 386).

 The situation is gradually deteriorating.

 I am looking for info concerning hw tests in console
 mode ?
 Are there any commands in console mode to start
 extensive hw tests ?

 Does anybody have other clues ?
