Thanks to Girish Phadke, who explained how to use showfile(8) to
reveal a domain's BMT increment size.

First cd to the .tags directory under an existing fileset in the
domain, eg,

# cd /usr/.tags

then

# showfile -x M-6

The output will resemble the following,

Id Vol PgSz Pages XtntType Segs SegSz Log Perf File
  fffffffa.0000 1 16 2050 simple ** ** ftx 100% M-6

      extentMap: 1
          pageOff pageCnt vol volBlock blockCnt
                0 2 1 32 32
                2 128 1 8816 2048
              130 128 1 130128 2048
              258 128 1 347856 2048
               : : : : :

The second and subsequent 'pageCnt' values equal the BMT increment (or
'-x' parameter) with which the domain was created - in this case, the
default value of 128. I then used this value to voladd additional
space to my usr domain (see original post below).

Thanks again Girish! Cheers,
