upgrading from 3.2f to 4.0

Dear managers,

I am attempting to upgrade from DU3.2f to 4.0. When I attempt to do an
installupdate, the process dies saying I need 3.2c, 3.2d, or 4.0(?). How do
I get to the correct level to do an update install? If I have to step to 3.2g I
do not have a disc that I know of.
