upgrade, login, raid

Hi,
        3 questions :

1- I'm planning to upgrade our Alphaserver 800 from 4.0b to 4.0d. Has
anyone experienced
any problems with this upgrade, or any problems with 4.0d after the
upgrade ?

2- Could anyone recommend a way to restrict direct logins to an account
? I prefer that users
log in with there personal id's, and "su" elsewhere. Are there any
software, scripts that you would recommend ?

3- We also have (2) new Alphserver 8200's, with ASE trucluster, which
will be running Oracle.
     The system includes 2 HSZ70's (64mb cache) with (24) 9gb drives,
which need to be configured. The application is OLTP.
We'd like to use raid 0/1 or raid 5. I've been told that the
HSZ70's work well with either.
Any suggestions on which raid version to use ?

    Your responses are much appreciated.
