Hello managers!
This time I have a question regarding the dxconsole process that runs
under CDE. On the console terminal on both of my Alphas, dxconsole works
just fine, but on my pc and everyone else's pcs theres a message inside
the dxconsole window that says "couldn't open console".
I searched through the archives for related questions, and the closest
thing that I found suggested looking at the /usr/bin/X11/dxconsole file
to make sure that the correct permissions are set. This file on our box
has the permissions set to what the archive file said to have them set
to:
-rwsr-xr-x 2 root bin 32768 Aug 20 09:55
/usr/bin/X11/dxconsole
Does anyone else have any ideas as to why dxconsole does not work on
individual pcs?
