I've just upgraded this system to Digital UNIX 4.0D, and loaded the
updated Open3D software (v4.6). I am unable to get the OpenGL functionality
to verify - /usr/bin/X11/gl_ivp returns a message "Could not find any
visual supported by OpenGL". /usr/bin/X11/xglinfo reports that OpenGL is
not supported for each of its tests.
I have installed the subsets
O3DDWSBASE460 installed DWS Open3D Base V4.6
O3DDWSCOMMON460 installed Open3D Common V4.6
O3DDWSCONFIG460 installed Open3D Config V4.6
O3DDWSGLBASE460 installed DWS Open3D OpenGL Base V4.6
O3DDWSGLMAN460 installed DWS Open3D OpenGL man pages V4.6
O3DDWSPCM460 installed DWS Open3D PCM Server and Library V4.6
O3DDWSZLXL460 installed DWS Open3D ZLXp-L V4.6
I was unsure about O3DDWSZLXL460; the machine has a ZLXp-E1 graphics card -
is this supported in the base or common subset, or perhaps not at all? Is
installing this subset going to get in the way of the proper support?
Looking through the installation guide, the appropriate files appear to have
been modified OK - /var/X11/Xserver.conf has the added opengl extension
lines, and the kernel has been rebuilt and the system rebooted.
Can anyone suggest what I've missed - or is this card no longer supported (in
which case I may have to go back to DU 3.2C, where I just came from).
