What is /var/adm/binary.crdlog and how do I read it?

Hi folks-

   The file /var/adm/binary.crdlog has just appeared on my AlphaServer 8400
(running DU 4.0D). I see that the binlog daemon creates it based on
/etc/binlog.conf, *BUT* I can't find any documentation on what it means
or how to read it. There is no mention of it in the latest 4.0D documentation,
nor in the dia manpage or other DECevent documentation.

   Could someone inform me what this file is or point me to some docs?
