DNS problem

Hi everybody,
I have set up two DEC Unix 4.0 D machines. I configured them to be DNS

clients to another DEC Unix 4.0 B machine which is the DNS master.
Initially it was working fine. Suddenly yesterday I found that when I
give nslookup on those two machines they come up with the following
error message:
*** Can't find server name for address 163.222.11.3: Timed out
*** Default servers are not available.

163.222.11.3 is the DNS server. I checked the /etc/resolv.conf file
of both these machines and found that they have the proper entries.
I checked the /etc/hosts file on both these servers and they have an
entry for this machine in them.

Does any one have a clue what's happening here.

          Thanks, Chakru
