Dear Manager,
I have recently downloaded the sendmail.8.8.8 version.
To compile it sucessfully I installed gcc-2.8.1, libstdc++-2.8.1
and groff-1.11.
I didn't find any problem with gcc, libstdc and groff.
After compiling sendmail src. I found binary like following
-r-sr-xr-x 1 root kmem 532480 Apr 5 12:28 /usr/sbin/sendmail
and IT IS NOT WORKING. I would like to know from you
1. Do I need to change /etc/sendmail.cf, /etc/sendmail.cw files.
For your information I have running sendmail 8.8.7.
2. I need to change some code of 8.8.8 for digital UNIX 4.0, but sendmail
come with wonderfull "makesendmail"
3. I have found one directory under src directory of sendmail, named
obj.OSF1.V4.0.alpha. Do need to run any shell in this?
I am really novice of sendmail. Please help me.
