Perhaps someone out there can direct me to the nose on my face.. It's probably
that easy, but I'm missing it.
I can ftp FROM system A to any other system on my network. I can NOT ftp
TO system A from those other systems. When I try I get this:
> ftp A
Connected to A
But that's it. I cannot get out with ctrl-c or delete. So far the only
thing that I *know* works is to background the process with ctrl-z and
use kill %1.
I've checked the archives and man page with no success. I checked the
/etc/shells file, which seems to be a frequent source of ftp malconfiguration
issues, but it looks fine.
The /etc/hosts files are also correct, at least for the entries related to
system A.
Any suggestions as to where to look?
Thanks.
