vdump - one file system per tape?

Hello All,

I am trying to back up multiple file systems to a single tape. I used
vdump and the -N option so that the tape would not rewind, but when I then
look to see what files are on the tape with vrestore I only see one
file system.

I have learned that there are different device files with
different drivers for the same device, and the drivers affect the behavior
of the device. The device file I used was /dev/rmt0h. Does this driver not
allow rewinding the tape? There was no message that the tape rewound.
How can I find out how the different drivers affect the device.

Or... Is this a limitation of the advanced file system - one file system
per tape?

TIA for any help.

Rob
