Hello,

I just installed my first DU4.0D (as to avoid the complicate upgrade
installation procedures what I learned from this list)
- after the standard install I dicovered the LAT was missing
- did setld LAT
- after some other setlds, did a doconfig
- tried latsetup and got
"LAT and/or DLB have not been configured in the running kernel"
This is really true, sysconfig doesnt show lat.
- now I don't know how to configure these
Release notes say 4.5.4: "You no longer need to built LAT into the Kernel
... you still must built DLB into the kernel"
Nothing else in the release notes about to do this with DLB
Also no helpful information in the Installation Guide:
  p. 5-35 is the only place were it is mentioned only

These are the only manuals I have (and an old Systems
  Administration DU V3.0 Guide)

What do I have to do? Is there a simple sysconfigdb command, I
don't want to experiment very much without much knowledge...
(Besides my VMS systems I not so familiar with DU.)

In the past I set up LAT on DU 3.2c, 4.0a, 4.0b, 4.0c with no
problems (ok these have been factory installed systems (4.0X).

Why does DU behave everytime different and is the documentation
really so poor?

Regards
Otto
