Hi Gurus,

Still concerning X terminal emulators, I got messages from Eivind Olsen
<eolsen_at_dscc.dk> and Rich Frank <rnfrank_at_wolfram.llnl.gov> making reference
to PCX-ware from NCD (www.ncd.com) as a good option that was not mentioned
in my previous summary.

With respect to what I have mentioned earlier

>> I found X-win32 ease to install but was not successful to run CDE completely
>> in AIX and DU 4.0b boxes. I can only open the "Failsafe" session (Xterm window)

I got directions from Ed Bolson <BOLSON_at_FRANGO.HS.WASHINGTON.EDU> and detailed
instructions from Simon Bosse <bosse_at_python.konbib.nl> on how to set up the
"Switch to single window" mode in X-win32 that allowed me to access CDE with no
problems in AIX and DU 4.0b boxes. Thanks to both of them. Simon's message
follows:

>> When you install Xwin32 you get 4 items:
>> - X-win32 : the server
>> - X-util32 : the session editor, and configuration utility
>> - X-win32 help : documentation
>> - copy sessions : never used
>>
>> To define a new session or to edit an old one:
>> - start X-util32
>> - select sessions
>> - Select "new" or "sessions"
>> - when you selected sessions you get a list of names f.e. "X-python"
>> select one
>> - Edit the box that pops up :
>> - (fill in session name)
>> - fill in hostname
>> - Set connect using "XDMCP"
>> - Set XDMCP mode to "Query"
>> - Set windows setting to "Switch to single window"
>> - close the popup window and x-util32
>>
>> When you startup X-win32, it runs as a server in the background
>> When you click with your right mouse button on the x-win32 item in your
>> task list (bottom of the screen), a menu pops up
>> - select sessions
>> - select the name you had defined/edited
