How to change video frequency

Hello,

I have an alpha 500 with dunix 4.0.

My problem is that we want to change the monitor for the station to a
17" SONY, and when we start the X server the monitor displays an 'out of
range' message, due to a non supported video refresh rate. The question
is: How can I change the video settings to reduce the refresh rate so I
can use the new monitor?
