Changing disk partions

Hello-

I am drawing a total blank on how to change the partition table on a new
disk. I have a neww 9GB disk that I would like to partition into 2 4.5GB
partitions....

Duhhhhh. I have done this several time, just not within the limits of my
feeble mind.
