I got 5 replies to my original post; I expected none. Thank you to all who
responded, however I was just pointing out what I thought was a humorous
inconsistency.

It was probably my fault for using the phrase "picking nits". A nit is a
lice egg, you can see monkeys at zoos picking nits off each other. IMO,
this qualifies as a nit.

So, I sincerely apologize if I wasted anyone's time with this poor attempt
at levity.

Here is a summary of the responses I received.

The two digit year entry is interpreted unambiguously until 2038 since the
internal data representation cannot support dates beyond that point.

So, since we will all have been assimilated by MicroSoft by then, we don't
have to worry. (This is a joke. Ha ha.)
