I have enabled the AUTONICE feature to automatically "nicing" up the
priority of long computing jobs on the system by adding the
options AUTONICE
in /sys/conf/hostname file and rebuild the kernel.
The procedure works on v3.2 to v.4.0B systems and somehow stops working
since the system is upgrade to v4.0D. ie. non of the user processes are
shown niced in the ps command after hours of computation (even though the
option AUTONICE is enabled in the kernel by the above procedure).
Anybody noticed the change in behavior? Is this a bug in DU v4.0D or
is there other way to enable the auto "nicing" feature?
