Well, I only got two responses.
Mervyn Weis informed by that SEMMNS was replaced by num-of-sems.
Nathan Grass said he thinks that they really meant shm-max, but this
contradicts what is said earlier in the document.
It appears there is no equivalent to SHMBASE any more.
My original question:
The installation instructions for Netscape Certificate server ask you to
set several kernel parameters, one of which is SHMBASE. Here is the
lines from the instructions:
Also, set the location of shared memory to:
SHMBASE 0X800000
On Digital UNIX V4.0B, add the following lines to /etc/sysconfigtab:
ipc:
shm-max=0x800000
I'm assuming the "shm-max" is a misprint, since they already specify a
value for it. But there is no equivalent "shm-base" that I can find.
Anyone know of one?
Also, they ask to set SEMMNS, and likewise there doesn't seem to be an
equivalent...
