Dear Managers,
I want to compile sendmail 8.9 so before it I've to install groff.
When I try to run configure script in groff source directory I get
following:
# ./configure
creating cache ./config.cache
checking for prefix by ... checking for grops... no
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether we are using GNU C... yes
checking whether gcc accepts -g... yes
checking for c++... c++
checking whether we are using GNU C++... yes
checking whether c++ accepts -g... yes
checking whether cross-compiling... no
checking that C++ compiler can compile simple program... no
configure: error: a working C++ compiler is required
#
I have gcc 2.7.2.3 (with g++) and DEC C++ Class Archive Libraries and
DEC C++ Class Shared Libraries are installed too.
What could be the problem? (I've never used c++ compiler before).
Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
Gyula Szemenyei
