but the solution was rather simple and I am very sorry that
I asked this stupid question (but I was expecting like in VMS
some security mechanism).
After trying to find a process which could be in a state locking
a terminal even with a very sophisticated ps -o xxx command from Lucio
I was unable to identify something like this.
Then I finally walked to the workstation - and found out the user
had hit the Screen hold key --- I am really very sorry having you annoyed
with that.
Then the mail from Valetin arrived and he came the solution rather near -
a pushed caps lock key could cause similar problems.
