Hello gurus,

Following on from Harry Hahn's <h3_at_ucla.edu> poster regarding the telnet's
default login text, on Digital UNIX V3.2 (or OSF/1) the /etc/issue.net is
not displayed.

For example, on Digital UNIX V3.2:
-- cut --
Connected to bar.hum.bug
Escape character is '^]'.

OSF/1 (bar.hum.bug) (ttyp1)

login:

-- cut --

While, on Digital UNIX V3.2:
-- cut --
Connected to foo.bar.fum
Escape character is '^]'.

Welcome to the Polymers and Colloids Group,
            Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge

This machine and other resources... blah, blah, blah.

Digital UNIX (foo.bar.fum) (ttyp5)

login:

-- cut --

Any suggestions? Summary to follow.

Regards,
Rich
