Quick solution is to rm the domain from /etc/fdmns.

You might take it out of your /etc/fstab and reboot. The file system
won't be mounted and perhaps advfs won't croak on it.
     Good Luck,

Subject:	Domain Problems
Hey Y'all
I have a couple of disks that are giving me problems so I'm replacing them
but the disks are in two domains. One domain is working fine but the other
is not. When I try to run dxadvfs it stalls. The dxconsole says
uncorrectablr read error on vol01, plex pl01 block 16 fd failure, no media
in drive. If I try showfdmn I get I/O error. I'm not worried about the
data (it's a demo area) how do I deconstruct the domain running 3.2g DEC
alpha, that would let me run dxadvfs??
thanks
lawrence
