Hi gurus,
Following on from a very detailed summary by Andy Phillips
<atp_at_mssly1.mssl.ucl.ac.uk> way back in 1995:
http://www.ornl.gov/its/archives/mailing-lists/alpha-osf-managers/1995/06/msg00183.html
is it possible to restoring ADVfs quota files from backups. From Andy's
summary: "The quick answer is that it cant be done."
I appreciate these 'quota.user' or 'quota.group' files are sparse in
nature but I really don't want to waste time manually restore over 150
quota limits. Surely this a command problem migrating between UFS/Advfs.
Is there a Digital (or third party) software to extract the old quota
limits from the sparse files and update the existing quotas?
Any helps or comments would be appreciated. Summary to follow.
Regards,
Rich
