I got a single answer to my query, which is listed below.

Thanks to Mr. Hans Ullitz-MØller <hum_at_biobase.dk> for his answer:

Greetings,

I've got a DECLaser 5100 hanging off of an AlphaServer 4100. My problem is
that every time some event happens on the printer (e.g. paper out, jam, and
sometimes even power saver mode), if a job is sent to the printer, it
remains hung in a non-usable state. In order for the job to be processed,
it must be power reset.

Do I have something misconfigured or is this a real hardware problem with
the printer?

Thanks in advance,
--Brad
