Hello managers :

We were working with DU 3.2g installed in our Alpha2100 with no problems
with improved security, by providing access via LAT.

We disabled many incoming services, like telnet, ftp, talk, rpc, nfs, by
editing /etc/inetd.conf and removing some links in /sbin/rc3.d (like sendmail
link and nfs* link).

This changes were working fine under 3.2g and XDM, but since we installed
DU4.0d, we get "Starting CDE Environment" endless blue screen....

Checking /var/adm/messages, there was no errors, but in other .log files,
there was a lot :

daemon.log : svrMgt_mib, os_mibs and snmp related errors.
user.log : rcp.ttdbserverd ttdt_Xt_input_handler and more tt* warnings & errors.

If I chose Options -> Sessions -> Dxsession Session, I have no problems (with
the same configuration).

I want to know if there is a way to use CDE without those rpc and other errors
(I mean without those incoming services)

Or if someone can tell me exactly which services does CDE need to start
cleanly...

Thanks in advance.
