Hello Group:
We are experiencing some ADVFS problems with our u_domain which contains our
database files for Oracle.
We ran bcheckrc and receive IO errors and the filesystem will refuse to
mount. We attempted to run verify to see
if we have some advfs corruption but it errors out. We checked our links in
/etc/fdmns and the links look good.
The exact error we get when running verify is main: unable to get info for
domain 'u_domain' error: -1079, E_VD_DMNATTR_DIFF
(-1079). I looked up this error in advfs_err and discovered that it is
telling us that the disks listed in the fdmns directory for
the file domain do not belong to the file domain. The fdmns directory entry
for this file domain is invalid. Does anyone
have any suggestions as to why this has happened or how to determine which
disk is invalid? We are on 4.0b and there
are two other domains that are functioning correctly on this same system.
Thanks, Lisa
